Trapped in linear time, conflict and comedy give way to wonder as Stephen Hawking's sci-fi concept, imaginary time, proposes an escape. Idiosyncratic gestures make way for full-bodied momentum: A dancer accelerates to fatigue; a phrase loops continuously; empathy arises as dancers take time together. An intimate meditation on how time feels in and between moving bodies, "At Right Angles to Ordinary" examines how time both constructs and deconstructs our lived experience as individuals and social animals.
